Homebrew is very commonly misunderstood as piracy, however that is absolutely wrong! Homebrew generally refers to the programs that users code for your game consoles. These programs are free and are meant to add value to your consoles while not infringing the rights of the game console manufacturer.

Homebrew leads to piracy when programmers start to add illegal functions of their software. These functions circumvent anti-piracy measures and is in violation of Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), a relatively new law Singapore picked up when we signed our Free Trade Agreement with US.
