service can be improved

Saturday 06 September, 2008

I bought my psp today at the newly increased price despite the fact that i had reserved it at a cheaper price. I arranged to reserve the item for 4 days and when i went down to make payment i was told of the new price and informed rudely that i can reject the item if i do not want to pay the new increased price. Further more i was told by the female staff that the shop was not under obligation to hold the item for me and they hold no responsibilities to inform me as well despite the fact that i had gone to the trouble to be reserving the item and even told them which is the earliest date i could collect it.

Paying the new increased of $12 is not a problem however the rudeness of the female staff is unacceptable. Service provided by another male staff is excellent but the entire experience is marred by that lone female staff.

All policies may be indicated on the website to ensure that the company is covered but when the customer is informed only when he reaches the shop he would obviously be unhappy and in shock since its the first time he is informed of it thus the staff should have taken the effort to be just a little polite at least and not have been so rude.
An sms to the customer is not considered a hassle when he has taken the effort to reserve it and furthermore when he has done nothing wrong why should he not just be served rudely but told that 'you can reject if your not happy at the shop.' I believe the service standard can be improved.
