We are looking for a Remote Full-Stack Software Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails to design, scale, and maintain our core e-commerce applications, marketplace integrations, and retail tools.

Because this is a remote role, we value engineers who possess clear written communication, high self-motivation, and the ability to drive features from database schema design to frontend deployment independently.

• Core Web Platform: Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• E-Commerce & Marketplace Integrations: Build and maintain integrations connecting our core systems to regional marketplaces and retail APIs.
• Frontend Engineering: Develop responsive, clean UI components using React.js and modern JavaScript/CSS.
• System Reliability & Infrastructure: Monitor, optimize, and maintain application performance across our cloud hosting platforms (AWS / DigitalOcean).
• Documentation & Clean Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code accompanied by clear documentation for workflows and API endpoints.

• Core Technical Stack: Strong hands-on production experience with Ruby on Rails and SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Frontend Proficiency: Solid experience with React.js, modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Cloud & DevOps Basics: Familiarity with deploying and managing Rails applications on cloud environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, Heroku, or similar).
• Remote Competency: Resourceful, disciplined, and comfortable working asynchronously with high autonomy.
• Communication: Excellent written English skills for code documentation, issue tracking, and team collaboration.

• Hands-on experience with e-commerce frameworks or engines (e.g., Spree, Solidus, Shopify API).
• Experience with mobile web or cross-platform frameworks (React Native).

• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Singapore Time, GMT+8) or local equivalent within ±1–2 hours.
• On-Call Availability: Occasional standby support outside core hours for critical bug fixes, server outages, or urgent production issues.
• Team Structure: Flat hierarchy, direct access to technical leads, zero corporate red tape, and direct ownership of production features.

Our working hours are 11.30am to 8.30pm for full timers and 11.45am to 8.15pm for part timers. Full timers work 5 days a week, less if there are Public Holidays. It is shift work and depending on the manager's scheduling, you may have to work weekends or public holidays.

• Full-timer: $2,800/month
• Part-timer: $100/day
